Bilingual Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Job Summary:

A fast-paced immigration law practice seeks a full time bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) paralegal for immediate hire.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assembling immigration application forms along with required evidence
• Meet with clients to gather case information and prepare documents.
• Draft legal documents and affidavits
• Manage a voluminous case load for clients and meet priorities set by case manager
• Update practice management software with all client information and case progress
• Translation of documents from Spanish to English
• Interpret for appointments from Spanish to English and English to Spanish

Qualifications and Skills:

• Fluency in both English and Spanish (conversing, reading, and writing)
• Undergraduate degree or paralegal certificate preferred
• 1-2 years of legal experience preferred
• Solid work history
• Strong interest in an immigration-based practice
• Microsoft Word and Excel: Intermediate/Advanced proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and customer service
• Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to changing circumstances
